Welcome to our Rose City Kids Jiu-Jitsu program!
Our classes are specifically designed to foster young martial artists while teaching valuable life lessons and building strong foundations for character development.
Enrolling kids in martial arts will channel their natural energy toward something positive and crucial to their development as future adults.
Martial arts have long been recognized for their positive influence on a child’s physical and mental well-being, and Jiu-Jitsu is no exception to that rule.
Some of the benefits of enrolling your child in martial arts include:
- Increased mental focus,
- Improved listening skills
- Fosters self-discipline
- Improve socialization skills
- Increased self-esteem
- Learning to set and achieve goals
- Bully prevention
- Develops teamwork skills
- Promotes physical activity
Our program is open to children between 5-13 years of age. No prior training or experience is required to enroll in the program. Our classes provide a fun and safe environment for our young students to learn a martial art while also instilling the traditional martial arts values of respect, self-discipline, honor, and integrity.
Travis Newaza, the head instructor for our RCJJ kids program, has dedicated his life to the study of grappling martial arts and culture. His many years of training and working with children has allowed him to develop innovative and fun methods to pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
The techniques and drills remain true to the martial art but they are introduced and repeated through games and play.
Parents are welcome to stay back and watch their child train and have fun!
